Join us if you’ve been thinking that it’s time to do something about your weight, but you’re not sure if surgery is the answer; if you’re pre-op in the journey of bariatric weight loss surgery, but still have questions or concerns or if you’re post-op from bariatric weight loss surgery and want a supportive group close to home. If you’ve had bariatric weight loss surgery and are experiencing regain—please come to the meeting.
Attending a support group is helpful for long term weight management. One of the most important benefits support groups can offer you is the realization that you are not alone. Studies show that being surrounded by others who have experienced similar weight issues and working closely with those who share similar health and weight loss goals as you, can significantly help the weight loss efforts of the entire group.
Education, ongoing motivation, peer support and accountability are some of the benefits you’ll receive when you join the Bariatric Support Group. All meetings are open to the public and there is no cost to attend. For more information about the group, call Denise Frey, RDN, LDN, at 610-826-1150.
